Through the IQ Defence project, a set of concrete results will be delivered to strengthen cybersecurity readiness, support regulatory compliance, and improve skills development across EU Member States. The project is designed to support implementation of the NIS2 Directive and the Cyber Resilience Act through training, awareness activities, policy coordination, and recognised skills frameworks.

Expected results
  • Multilingual awareness support for NIS2 and CRA – Workshops, videos, and real implementation examples will help organisations understand what compliance means in practice and how to apply it in day to day operations.
  • A multilingual EU training programme – Six online cybersecurity courses will be developed and delivered in all EU languages, including four courses focused on NIS2 and two focused on CRA.
  • Recognised micro credentials and assessment tools – The project will introduce modular learning pathways, assessment support, and ECSF aligned micro credentials to strengthen formal recognition of cybersecurity skills.
  • Stronger cooperation between Member States – Coordination meetings, regional seminars, and the IQ Defence Cybersecurity Conference Series will support knowledge exchange and more aligned implementation approaches across countries.
  • New occupational and qualification standards – More than 12 cybersecurity occupational and qualification standards will be developed and aligned with EU skills frameworks, supporting comparability and mobility of talent.
  • Broad dissemination and public visibility – Communication activities will include video series, promotional content on cybersecurity careers, media outreach, newsletters, and social media, with materials adapted for all EU languages.
